There are times when I sit thinking to myself, "What would I tell my younger self if I could go back?" What would I say if I could open a window to the past and speak to the child I once was? Maybe I’d remind him not to worry so much that life works out, even when it seems uncertain. We all go through struggles; sometimes, we look back and wish we knew better or did things differently. But if you could speak to your younger self, what would you say?
In this week's Parsha, Beshalach, we see the Jewish people trapped between the Red Sea and Pharaoh’s army. They cried out in fear, “Did you bring us here just to die?” But Moshe Rabbeinu tells them, “Don’t be afraid; stand firm and watch what Hashem will do for you.” Even when everything seems impossible, Hashem always has a plan. It might not always be clear, but if we trust Him, He will lead us through.
The lesson I learned from this is that even when you feel lost or afraid, you should trust that Hashem is with you, guiding you every step. Life has its ups and downs, but if we trust Him, we’ll see the miracles unfold. Keep your head high; in ten years, your future self will look back at this moment and send some reassurance your way. Trust in the journey and remember—Hashem never leaves us alone.
Good Shabbos
All the best!
