Recently, technology has gotten so advanced that we can seemingly recreate reality using a computer program. For example, you can get a pair of virtual reality goggles and, just by designing the program, you can be transported to a different place.
In this week’s parsha, we look at all of the intricate details that were used in the Mishkan. For example, we see things like how the Kohen dressed.
What if, instead of just learning chumash by looking at drawings, we could live it? Using that same technology, we could actually see the Bais Hamikdash, the Mishkan, or any other ideas from Chumash.
Although seeing this through VR would be an amazing experience, if you take off the goggles then you wouldn't be there anymore. How do we make these visualizations into practical thoughts and ideas so that it affects in a way that bring these concepts into actuality?
The Lubavitcher Rebbe taught that, through learning Chumash every week, we could bring Moshiach closer. In essence, understanding what every parsha is saying will bring Moshiach.
While a person can take multiple lessons from this, I would like to share a possible interpretation. Sometimes, you can skim through the parsha just to get it over with or, alternatively, you can live with it. Join me this week as I attempt to transform reality by living with the parsha. This will make the usage of a Virtual Reality machine obsolete because we will already be living with Moshiach!
All the Best
