Over the past two years, I have grown to appreciate taking long road trips. Last weekend, I had a dream that someone paid me to drive them from Florida to Toronto. Along the way, we were able to stop in many places and take pictures. As we were nearing Canada, my passenger suddenly realized that he forgot his passport. When we got to the border, no matter how much we pleaded with the border officers, they still wouldn’t let us cross. Unfortunately due to this, we weren't able to reach our final destination as previously planned.
In this week’s parsha, we read about Moshe and the final moments before the B'nei Yisrael entered Eretz Yisrael. Similar to my story, Moshe started a journey with the B'nei Yisrael from Mitzrayim. Eventually, no matter how much Moshe pleaded with Hashem, he still wasn't permitted to enter Eretz Yisrael.
Occasionally we are challenged with circumstances that can be very tough. Moshe went through life preparing to enter Eretz Yisrael, yet he was forbidden from doing so. Unfortunately, many of us have not had the opportunity to go into Eretz Yisrael. Therefore, I hope you will join me during this next week by increasing our love for our fellow jew. Hopefully with this, we will bring Moshiach closer and together we will enter Eretz Yisrael very soon!
All the Best
