These last few months have been beneficial because they gave me time to focus and reflect on my spiritual/religious journey, and I have gained a lot. After months of being preoccupied with school, my hiatus from writing has finally ended. Writing this and not putting my professor's names at the top is bizarre, but I will hopefully manage.
I was recently watching a TV series about a soccer team. After a challenging game, the coach told his team that goldfish are the happiest animals on earth because they have a ten-second memory. He urged his team to be like goldfish and do their best by moving on to the next game. The reason for this is that the next time the team had a challenging play, they could overcome and complete it successfully because they were not still thinking about their past failures.
In this week's parsha, Hashem told Moshe there would be a Pesach Sheni one month after Pesach for those unavailable to celebrate it. It is essential to mention that despite the missed experience, it was not too late to return and try again.
During my recent spiritual journey, I've discovered something important. When I adopt the mindset of a goldfish, it helps me deal with life’s challenges. Finding happiness in positive moments and being motivated to seize second chances without worrying about missed opportunities transforms my day. I invite you to join me on this journey to search for more positive opportunities, improve our lives, and make the world a better place!
Good Shabbos
All the best
