After an extended month of holidays, I am happy to finally be back to my regular schedule. For me, this month was filled with many amazing events, including the completion of the torah! I hope that the intensity which was acquired throughout this month can power all of us through the entire year!
During this past week, I was having a conversation with someone about music. We were speaking specifically about the nuances of music and the experience a person goes through when they listen. For example, after a song finishes, a person can listen to it again to gain a deeper appreciation for the song. An example of this is whenever I listen to music for the first time, I need to listen to it a few more times before truly appreciating it.
The Parsha of Bereishis marks the beginning of a new chapter. If we relate it to the analogy, it's like listening to the same song another time. Similar to music, every week we read through another parsha we gain a deeper understanding of the lessons that are written there.
If we listen to the same song more, we can gain a deeper appreciation for the song. Similarly, by learning more about the torah, we can better understand its meanings. This year, I hope you will join me as I try to grow my understanding. Hopefully, through analyzing the tunes of the torah, we can make this world a better place!
Have an amazing shabbos!
Moshiach Now!
All the best!
