Let's imagine you are a candidate to become the president of the United States, constantly under the spotlight and always being followed by reporters. The reporters ask questions at a rapid pace, and it can seem overwhelming.
You may think that this scenario is just for famous people, like a presidential candidate, but really it has so much to do with every single person.
In this week's parsha, Parshas Ki Savo, we read again about the mitzvos. It can seem like the mitzvos are being shot out in rapid succession, each mitzva with its own details and qualifications, and it could feel overwhelming. We need to realize that in order to answer each one of the reporter's questions calmly and with confidence, we need to have taken the subject to heart and make it who we are. So too, with every mitzva, we need to make it a part of us, and make it ours. Then we can navigate our lives calmly and with confidence that we are living properly the way Hashem wants us, to bring mashiach!
All the best
