Earlier this week, my wife gave birth to a baby boy! Thank G‑d, both my wife and our little one are doing well! Like his father, he was born early and needs to stay in the hospital a bit more. Becoming a father has stirred up many new emotions for me, especially since I was also born early. I often reflect on what it means to be born early and how it has shaped my perspective on life.
As I think about becoming a father, I’m reminded of something I read in this week's parsha: "Man does not live by bread alone, but by whatever comes forth from the mouth of Hashem." These words are a powerful reminder that our lives are about more than just physical needs. We are guided by a higher purpose, one that goes beyond our understanding. By embracing this, we can live with greater purpose, strength, and joy, knowing that we are exactly where we are meant to be, doing what we are meant to do.
I truly believe that every person comes into this world at the exact moment they are supposed to, with a unique mission that often goes beyond what we can see or understand. My son has already taught me that life’s timing, whether it fits with our plans or not, is always perfect in its own way. Our lives aren’t defined by how or when we enter this world or the challenges we face; instead, we’re here to make a unique contribution, to bring something to the world that only we can offer. I hope you will join me this week and be more confident in sharing your unique talents with the world!
Good Shabbos!
All the best
