Our Leader Is Coming! - Parshas Tazria-Metzora

Last week I mentioned a fundamental idea regarding Geulah. Recently, I thought of a question. Throughout the generations we talk about one person leading everyone out of Golus. Why do we need a leader? Why should we look forward to a single person taking us out of Golus, when we can band together and do it ourselves? Let's look at the Parsha to see if we can find a great answer. In this week's double parsha, Parshas Tazria-Metzora, we learn about the commandment that every Jewish male should have a Bris on the 8th day of life. We see in history that one of our forefathers, Avraham, led the charge by giving himself a Bris. Without a leading image to guide us, we would not be doing so with such enthusiasm today! In that lies the reason why we need a leader to take us out of Golus. Take for example, a team with many different players with many different ideas. A captain is needed to bind all of the energy together to accomplish their goal with teamwork. So too with Klal Yisrael. Each person has their outlook, and way of life. The person to bring us together is Moshiach! After some thought, I came to a conclusion. We may need to wait for Moshiach to take us out of Golus, but we are not alone. We are working together to make the world a better place. Let's join together and break the bonds of Golus, in order to bring Moshiach who will unite us all together. Moshiach Now! Good Shabbos All the best, Avrohom Yehudah Ross
