Dont Take This World For Granted! - Matos-Masei

Does having a counselor, a boss, a parent, or even rebbe mean that you have to blindly follow every single command, no matter what? The answer is no. My campers are told pretty often that we aren't trying to be strict, but just trying their best to keep the campers safe, but it's up to them!

In this week's double Parsha, Parshas Matos-Masei, we read about something in the first few pesukim that really connects to this topic. Hashem starts out by instructing Moshe about different laws. We can learn from this that hashem was helping the Jewish people with different guidelines to make them one with Him!

Every day many of us are fortunate to wake up to parents that care and support us! They give us guidelines and rules to drive us forward since they know better. We can learn from this that they aren't trying to be “mean,” rather they are trying to help.

As we move on to another week let's internalize the messages that our parents give us, and change this world together!
