Fix the future... Not the past! -Toldos

Last week I went to the ohel to get some spiritual guidance. Generally, whenever I go to the ohel I watch a video or learn something so I can implement whatever I'm learned into my life. For example, every time a person goes to the dentist there is always something that the dentist says which you can do to benefit your teeth for the next visit.

In this week's parsha, we read about the birth of Yakov and Eisav. Rashi asks an interesting question. "How do such righteous and holy parents as Yitzchak and Rivka, produce a wicked and violent man such as Eisav? The Rebbe gives an answer to this as follows. "Eisav wasn't a product of Yitzchak and Rivka but a monster of his own making." In this situation, Eisav succumbed to the negative influences, however, he had the potential to do a lot of good.

In the video this past week, the Rebbe was talking about the ability to become a benoni no matter what you did in your past. The Yetzer Hara likes to make being a yid seem impossible and we need to prove him wrong! Let's take the simple inspiration from this week no matter what your situation is and use it to fuel this coming week. If we can fight back and win against the Yetzer Hara, Moshiach will come and we will be reunited with the entire nation very soon.
