A few weeks ago my friend went to eretz yisroel and when he was their he went to go put teffilin on people one of the stories went as follows.
My friend went to a ice cream store and when he was their he saw a man in a wheel chair who looked to be about 70. This man looked lonely so my friend asked if he wanted to put on teffilin, the teffilin touched his arm and he broke out crying. After he finished my friend asked what the reason was and this man said as follows.
My family abandoned me and I am alone in the world. When you came to me and forgot about your life and went to make sure that my life was secure and nice you acted like family and I thank you for that.
In this weeks parsha yayechi the first few words talk about how yaakov goes down to mitzrayim for 17 years. If you look at the word tov good the gematria is 17. Every person besides for doing what they are commanded they should help another jew go out of your bubble and they should be zoche of a good life.
All the best
