You Matter - Vayetzei

Dear Friend,

I would like to take a moment to acknowledge your unique and irreplaceable presence in this world. You are not invisible, and your success matters. By simply showing up this morning, you have already achieved success in my eyes. I know we both have much room to grow and meet our high expectations, but I believe in you.

This week's parsha tells the story of Yaakov, who was thrown into an evil world and tested on building a life and a family properly. Based on my interpretation of the Lubavitcher Rebbe's in Likkutei Sichos on this parsha, Yaakov exemplified a Baal Teshuva (someone who strays and returns to the path) and a Benoni (the middle level between a righteous and evil person). These ideas remind us that life is not always easy, and we are allowed to fail. However, the true value comes when we keep trying to learn and improve.

In our own journeys, we will encounter challenges and setbacks, just like Yaakov did in his life. Growth is not always a straightforward process. It's about acknowledging our imperfections, learning from our mistakes, and continuously striving to improve. Just as Yaakov persisted and emerged stronger, so too can we! During this week, I invite you to take a moment to reflect on your own journey and celebrate the moments of strength that have helped you face challenges, no matter how big they are. May this week be filled with positivity and growth for you.

Good Shabbos

All the best

Avroham Yehudah Ross
