Getting Thanked - Eikev

One day when I was bored, I decided to do something fun and go around the neighborhood telling people to have a great day. One time in specific, I was riding down the street and saying nice things to people and I happened to have said have a great day to an older woman who I soon found out to be a holocaust survivor. This person thanked me for making her day and asked me why I am so nice, I told her that we were put on this world to make it a better place. This lady then opened her pocketbook and gave me her number with a promise that I could get a scholarship from her if the details worked.
When I went out I didn’t think about any kind of reward besides for the mitzvah I got.
In this week’s parsha we speak about mitzvos it says that if you do mitzvos than HASHEM will do what he promised and bring mashiach. Now we need to do our part and do the mitzvos so that HASHEM will be able to do what he wants to do. Even without the immediate promising reward wait a little bit and we will have it.
Have a great shabbos

All the best
