A painting is made up of a variety of different colors. A few colors may be uniform while one abstract color crosses the middle making it more alive and beautiful. Everyday we see many different people, some are more outgoing while others are more comfortable in the shadows. Some people are bright and colorful while others choose somber colors. Each person is unique and different but needed to create a wondrous tapestry.
In this week's parsha, Parshas Tetzaveh we explore the different clothing of the cohen and Cohen Gadol. One of the pieces of clothing the Cohen wears is a fascinating garment with twelve stones, the Choshen. Each stone symbolizes a tribe with a unique picture and color. Each shevet had a unique way of serving Hashem. Each tribe had there own color and personality. And together they created a wonderful nation of Klal Yisroel!
The lesson to learn is that you can have many colors on one mantle and it will still be beautiful. Every person with whatever tribe they belong to is amazing because each person is unique. Let's work together and unite the world like a picture with all the colors in one place and with that unity we can change the world and bring Geulah! Lets spend this purim in Yerushaliam!
Good Shabbos and a Happy Purim
