Please pray with me! רפאל ניסן בן בתיה for refua shelaima!

On one particular jog this week, I was listening to a motivational speaker who was saying that if you take 1.5 minutes every day, it would accumulate to 547 minutes per year. By taking a tiny sliver of your day and putting it towards a specific goal you can achieve close to nine hours every year without putting in an intense amount of effort. Over the past few months, I have started to get more interested in meditation. Sometimes, when I'm not in the mood to daven, I started meditating in order to connect with Hashem on a more personal level. Although meditation helps to make davening more meaningful it's pretty difficult to do with the active world going on around me. The Alter Rebbe writes in Tanya that, through meditation, a person should create a feeling of awe in his heart about Hashem's greatness. However, if this is too difficult, Hashem doesn't require profound meditation and therefore a person can do whatever level they are comfortable with. The idea is that you don't need to spend hours on meditation to connect with Hashem. You can do it with just 10 seconds. This week, I hope you will join me as I take a minute of my day to shut off my phone and just connect with Hashem. Through that time, we can all benefit by gaining a greater understanding of Him. It's my hope that through this we can merit to meet Moshiach and all our loved ones right here in Yerushali'am very soon! Good shabbos All the best Avrohom Y Ross
